In April 2023, Ellen Kegels lost her beloved brother, Jef. Jef was known for his cheerful and positive nature, always ready for a party and rarely seen without a smile on his face. As a tribute to him, Ellen designed the Waves T-shirt, which was worn worldwide in the summer of 2024 and brightened up many festivals with this meaningful ode to Jef. To her great sorrow, her other and last brother, Jan, also passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of this year. A new wave of grief, pain, and loss washed over Ellen and her family. Jan wore his Waves T-shirt every week as a reminder of his beloved brother, Jef. After his passing, an outpouring of solidarity followed, with hundreds of Waves T-shirts lovingly packed and shipped. Ellen is grateful for this support.
